My first entrance in New Jericho went passably well. There were many newcomers to the city other than myself; the beginning of the evening wore on tediously as we lounged around and tried to see through each other.
I was the only Tremere present; the Primogen was too wrapped up in her studies. The host, the seneshal, was absent, and we began to speculate as to where he could be. He did not, however, show up later.
Gunshots broke the monotony of the night; we found ourselves attacked by mortal hunters. Most of my fellow Kindred ran to the fight, but I searched the perimeter of the conflict, looking for stray hunters. In vain. I returned, eventually, to the house, whereupon Delia, an odd sort of Brujah, invited me to roam the town with her. Intrigued by her strange mannerisms, and having nothing better to occupy my time with, I took her up on the offer.
She led me to the cyber-punk section of the city, into a building I had not previously explored. She knew the receptionist (for lack of a better term), and he knew her for what she was obviously she didn't hold the Masquerade in too high a regard.
I followed her into a small back room, with a bed and a computer console, and not much more. Shortly, another woman entered. She sat down; Delia drank from her. I was invited to partake as well. As I was full, I declined, but Delia persuaded me to try a little anyway. Cautiously, I bit.
The blood was exceptionally rich, but I could detect no drugs in it. Yet what followed was quite a drug-like experience. I had the feeling of omniscience- it's quite indescribable, and therefore I shan't waste my time upon attempting to clarify. The intoxicated state seemed to last for at least hours, if not days; when I looked at my watch, it had only been about five minutes. Delia and the human were engaged in a hacking-related discussion that I could not follow. Soon after, we went back.
Claudius, mistrustful of Delia, assaulted me immediately as to where I had been and what I had learned about her. I evaded his questions, saying we had gone hunting. In the meantime they had captured a hunter. I tested his blood for them, and learned he was numinous. After they had thoroughly abused him, they actually sent him to the hospital. I hope to able to get him out of there, and talk to his society, for our goals coincide, and I have come to realize that whatever their religious views may be, vampire-slaying is something I could use some help with.
