Tonight we celebrated the Prince's remarkably long rule. I felt very caged, trapped there-the hospitalized hunter was on my mind. I had been unable to get in touch with him because of the heavy security he was placed under. I did manage to send him a note, but he had made no reply. My state was not helped by the arrival of two elders, one named Lucian, and the other, Tharion. One was quite amusing, in somewhat of a repulsive way; he appeared to be rather inebriated. The other made me uneasy. He talked of peace and calm-well, I know nothing of those and neither do I wish to, until I have accomplished what I hold as my purpose now. I avoid him as much as I can.
Many others in the city were wary of the first, however. As I was the sole Tremere, they found me useful and they apprised me of their plot, away from any potential eavesdroppers. I was to sample his blood, and tell them what his true clan was. Not being in much of a position to refuse them, I acquiesced.
Upon our return, we were greeted by mayhem. Mr. Faraday was accused of being Sabbat and was embroiled in combat with a "Brujah" by the name of Nancy. Tharion broke up the fight. In the debate that ensued, the Malkavian elder was also accused of lying; he refused to give up a sample of his blood. It was clear that I wasn't going to be needed, so I just watched, gleaning nothing of much import.
The discussion was moved to the bookstore level. Faraday, it was discovered, had previously been in the Sabbat; however, he was trying to leave it. The woman that had accused him revealed herself to be a Losambra by casting the room into darkness, and staking him. I crouched behind the furniture, using it as cover. From my vantage point, I saw Robin escape with Mr. Faraday, and realizing that I wasn't about to do much in the way of battle, I followed suit.
